Word from WoW Insider is that Wrath of the Lich King, the long & eagerly anticipated expansion to our wondrous virtual life in World of Warcraft, has officially entered the Alpha phase of development.
Wrath of the Lich King will raise the level cap to 80 and introduce the first hero class: the Death Knight.
The expansion is in closed alpha testing, and with this comes the potential for low-life scammers to take advantage of those desiring to take a peak, so WoW Insider has the following wise words for my wise Warcraft Riches readers to consider:
A word to the wise: this is not an open beta, and any email or site that tells you to sign up for one is still scamming you. When open beta comes down, we’ll hear about it on Blizzard’s official site. This is just news that the next expansion has moved up a notch in its development, and that we’re one step closer to an official open beta.
So be patient, my fellow denizens of Azeroth. Our time will come.
